Sean Penn Gets Schooled!

By Maria Conchita Alonso of all people!
The actress, who was born in Cuba but raised in Venezuela, is pissed at Sean Penn for his public support of dictator Hugo Chavez.
Alonso wrote an open letter stating her opinion on the matter.
Here are some HIGHlights:
“Dear Sean
Even though I have great respect for your artistic talent, I was appalled by a recent television interview where you vigorously showed support for the regime of Hugo Chavez. Therefore, I’ve decided to set the record straight for you regarding the Chavez regime, supporting my case based not only on my political ideologies, but on proven facts you choose to ignore. Otherwise, I believe your position would be different.
Being born in Cuba, a country where freedom of speech is nonexistent, it’s startling to observe how Venezuela, where I was happily raised, is fast becoming Cuba’s mirror image: Dismantling of fundamental democratic rights deserved by its people and citizens of the world.
WHY do you validate a government that has converted Venezuela into the second most dangerous country in the world, where impunity is above 90% and its people live in a constant state of stress and fear of getting killed?
Sean, you have the right to say what you want, but as far as I know, your statements are contradictory to Freedom of Speech…My intention isn’t to convince you, but to let you know what is truly happening in this beautiful country of noble people, Venezuela. I would encourage you to investigate in depth the ‘inside story’ and realize for yourself the dark side behind the person you choose to idolize.
Agreed, Chavez did win his first elections, but like Hitler, he betrayed what the country gave him: The vote of confidence.”
You go, girl!
Maria continued to address several issues such as the supposed transparency of the Venezuela’s elections, violations by Chavez of the country’s constitution, his 92 percent control of media communications, his alleged anti-Semitism and the country’s escalating poverty rate.
Wonder what Sean will have to say about this?!

Mariah Carey to Launch Own Champagne Brand After Tipsy Speech

Bottoms up!
One week after delivering a tipsy champagne-fueled speech at the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards gala, the singer, 40, announced she’s launching her own line of bubbly.
“Didn’t realize they put the champagne on the tables, So we WOULDN’T drink it! LoL,” she wrote on Twitter Friday. “No, seriously ANGEL CHAMPAGNE (ROSE) by MC coming soon!”
Both George Clooney and Sean Penn mocked Carey’s Jan. 6 speech, which she jokingly blamed on Precious director Lee Daniels.
“We were celebrating and having little splashes, and I hadn’t eaten, and that’s what it was. We were celebrating the movie and all the exciting stuff going on,” Carey explained at the People’s Choice Awards the next day. “There’s a time for celebration and a time for not — but really technically, it’s a party atmosphere. We had splashes of champagne. I love Lee, but he’s a bad influence.”
The champagne won’t be the singer’s her first foray into alcohol production.
She invested in Mendocino County winery’s Mariah Zinfandel in 2006 — and even appeared on an episode of MTV Cribs knocking back a few glasses.

It was boys’ night out when two-time Oscar winner Sean Penn and indie film director Quentin Tarantino hit the after-party for the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Tuesday evening.
The two film icons huddled in the corner and drank scotch at the exclusive bash held at the Parker hotel. Soon they were joined by a gaggle of guys, and the ‘shop-talk’ commenced. Inglorious Basterds was of course discussed with Sean congratulating Quentin on his “incredible story”.

Robin Wright Penn moved her family out of Hollywood after witnessing Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daily struggle with photographers.
The Forrest Gump star, who filed for divorce from Sean Penn in August, packed up their home because she didn’t want her two children growing up in a “weird” community obsessed with celebrity.
She says, “I didn’t want to raise my kids in this weird, sycophantic society. If you have celebrity parents, it’s not a good recipe for the kids, or anyone at any age. Look at what Brad and Angelina go through.”

Hopper Penn, the son of actors Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn, was arrested last week at his Malibu high school on felony drug charges.
Los Angeles Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed two 16-year-olds were arrested at the school last week but refused to identify them. One of the boys gave the other hydrocondone, a prescription pain killer.
“Last Friday, around 10 a.m., security personnel at Malibu High School were told that a 16-year-old male student had illegal prescription medication in his possession,” Whitmore said. “After contacting the student, he admitted to receiving the drug believed to by hydrocodone from another 16-year-old male student while off campus.”
One student was charged with felony possession of drugs, while the other was charged with felony possession of drugs for furnishing.
Neither Penn nor Wright Penn, who are currently in the middle of a divorce, has commented.
Wright Penn is currently starring in A Christmas Carol alongside Jim Carrey and Colin Firth.
Sean Penn’s Son Turns Out To Be A Doper & A Druggie – Maybe Even a Dealer!

It’s tragic for any child to be on a bad track, to take drugs, to sell drugs, to lose their precious evanescent youth to the drug culture. However what can we learn from this story about the arrest of Sean Penn’s 16 year-old son Hopper Penn (Yes, young Hopper is a popper!). Well how about the following: Venezuela is an important shipping nexus for cocaine and heroin taking these killing chemicals from their points of manufacture and origin right into the USA for consumption!! The absolute ruler of Venezuela, Communist Dictator and close personal friend of SePenn’s, Hugo Chavez, has said that USA drug users have only themselves to blame for the unending flow of drugs into the USA. It’s good to know that all the drugs coming through Venezuela are not in any way the responsibility of the criminal providers there including Chavez himself. These innocents are merely victims of the USA’s imperialistic totalitarian capitalistic brutality – the very same one that Chavez and Penn enjoyed ridiculing during happier times.
Maybe now that it is personal Sean you can see for the first time a small fraction of the human cost inflicted by communist dictators and their behavior – the very man whose evil policies you openly support might be the same gent ultimately responsible for your son’s downfall. Photo: Fame Pictures
