On the heels of the success of her # 1 album I Dreamed a Dream, Susan Boyle is gearing up for another big year in 2010. The songstress will make her first appearance of the new year on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Jan. 19 where she will belt out her new single “Who I Was Born To Be.”

SuBo was pegged as one of OK!’s breakout stars of 2009, and she will discuss with Oprah her whirlwind success and being coined “Boylemania” by Entertainment Weekly.

Susan is still shocked by the media frenzy that followed her performance on Britain’s Got Talent and finds the prais, “astounding and humbling.”

I Dreamed A Dream held the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 for six weeks in a row, broke numerous Soundscan records and has sold over 8 million copies worldwide.

“It was important that I could feel everything I was singing,” Susan says.

The album features 12 tracks with Susan singing signature songs such as “I Dreamed A Dream”, “Cry Me A River,” as well as covers of The Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses,” Madonna’s “You’ll See,” The Monkees’ “Daydream Believer,” and “Who I Was Born To Be.”

Lady Gaga Pledges Haiti Earthquake-Relief Donation On ‘Oprah’

Singer also talks about exhaustion, performs medley in spike-themed outfit.

In an appearance as varied as one of her song medleys, on Friday’s (January 15) “Oprah Winfrey Show,” Lady Gaga performed, announced that she’ll be donating the proceeds from one of her forthcoming concerts to relief for Haiti, and indirectly addressed her show cancellations in the wake of her collapse from exhaustion after a show on Thursday.

Regarding Haiti, Gaga said that all proceeds from her January 24 concert in New York will go to relief organizations for the earthquake in the embattled country.

“Haiti’s still suffering,” she said. “And I was thinking earlier, because I was in New York during 9/11 and I always felt, the level of disaster isn’t in the neighborhood of what is happening in Haiti, but I just remember feeling nobody really understood. And I worry that young people don’t know enough about what’s going on there.

“And I will say today that on the 24th, the Monster Ball [show] in New York City, all of the money that I make in ticket sales and merchandise will go to Haiti. And on the 24th you can also go onto LadyGaga.com and any merchandise that you buy, the money will go to Haiti.” Reached for comment, Gaga’s label rep told MTV News the specifics of the contribution would be announced in the coming days. (Learn more about what you can do to help with earthquake-relief efforts in Haiti.)

Although the concerts she postponed or canceled on Friday due to exhaustion didn’t come up directly in conversation, Gaga did admit, “I always have very trying weeks in terms of my physical schedule.”

For Gaga’s performance, she stepped onto the stage with a ball and chain and spiky getup — complete with a spiked hairstyle — that was part dress, part pantsuit and busted out a medley that started off with “Monster” before going into her hit “Bad Romance,” complete with several dancers. She later took the ball and chain, jumped on a mock taxi and attempted to break through its windshield. (Oprah was shown pumping her fist in the crowd during the performance.) She then slowed it down by completing the set at her piano singing “Speechless.”

Also appearing on the show was “Avatar” director James Cameron, and Gaga revealed that she had always wanted to paint herself blue, like the Na’vi in the film. “It’s actually funny about James Cameron, because I’ve been talking about how I want to paint myself blue for a performance for the longest time,” she explained. “I’ve been preparing to do it and then ‘Avatar’ came out.”

In the interview with Winfrey, the singer addressed her long-simmering stardom aspirations. “I don’t like that, actually. It feels so weird when people call me ‘lady,’ ” she said about her stage name, adding, “I wake up in the morning and I get on my computer and I have files and reference boards and I call the Haus of Gaga all day and argue with them. For me it’s all about being provocative. It’s not just about getting attention, but about really saying something that affects people.

“The hardest part about my job is that I’m bossy, really. This is my only opportunity to live my dream.”

Gaga also gave Winfrey’s cameras a peek at the inner workings of her Monster Ball Tour, showing her wardrobe closet and her office. She added that before her team hits the stage they have a very specific pre-show ritual. “We always at the end of the prayer say ‘Joanne’ altogether because that was my father’s sister, who died very young, and I believe she’s onstage every night.”

Scientology Employees Forced To Watch Tom Cruise Videos

wenn2606743tc.jpg

Yikes! That sounds like our personal hell!

Marc Headley left Scientology after being involved for 15 years and is publishing a tell-all book called Blown for Good about the bizarre religion and he talks about Tom Cruise’s supreme influence on its members.

Those working at the Scientology compound in Gilman Hot Springs, California are not allowed to watch television or read newspapers, but apparently they were gathered at different times to view clips of Scientology poster-child Tom Cruise!

Headley explains the strange ritual:

“Everyone there thought Tom Cruise was just brilliant. Absolutely all the employees looked up to him. They think he is an exhilaration, which is very high up on what they call the ‘tone scale’. People who work within the organization were not given access to newspapers or television shows. The only thing we knew was what we were told or shown.

“At the International Headquarters they would record any appearances on TV shows or even mentions of Tom Cruise, or little stories they heard about him. Then they would re edit them and cut them together into a five or ten minute video of all the snippets of him on TV. But it was never the full interview or story.

For example the actual footage might have said; ‘Scientologist Tom Cruise, the biggest movie star in the world, acts like a crazy person on Oprah.’ But what we saw was ‘Tom Cruise, the biggest movie star in the world.’ Then it would cut to the next thing.

That sounds so shady!

After Headley left the compound it was then he saw what the world was really saying about Tom Cruise and Scientology in general and he began to question the religion and their “propaganda:”

“I just knew he was a superstar who talked about Scientology everywhere he went and encouraged people to join. I thought everyone was embracing Scientology and that millions of people were joining because of him. But somehow just before I got out I happened to see a few episodes of Conan O’Brien and he was making fun of Tom Cruise and the church.

I had only been shown the good. I had never been exposed to anything else. But it got me thinking that if jokes are being made and people are laughing at them then not everyone thinks Scientology is so great. They don’t think Tom Cruise is awesome, they think he is a freak show.

Well can you blame us? With the Oprah couch incident, the highly-publicized battle with Brooke Shields and the famous sound bite of “you’re glib!” to Matt Lauer?!

Headley also talks about what it entails to leave Scientology, using Tom Cruise’s family as an example including ex-wife Nicole Kidman:

“If you want to leave Scientology and publicly announce it, then you run a high risk of being branded a suppressant person. You will not be able to speak to your mother or your children or you family members again if they are still part of Scientology. If you leave and you say, ‘I don’t want to do this and I don’t want to be here then you are punished.’ You are threatened with physical and physiological harm…

“Nicole did attempt Scientology but she walked away from it. But she has never spoken about that. There are a lot of people still today who are quote on quote, ’still in Scientology’. They may not like what is happening in Scientology but they will play along for fear they would suffer the disconnection.

“If Connor or Isabella [Tom and Nicole's kids] said, ‘I don’t want to do anything in Scientology anymore’ and didn’t speak out or say its crazy then they would be fine.

“But as soon as they say ‘I don’t want to do it anymore and I don’t believe in it’ and they make that fact known publicly then they stand a strong chance of being branded a suppressant person. If that were to happen, then they are living with Nicole.”

That is effed up!

The more people speak out about their experiences in Scientology, the more creeped out we get!

Somebody save Suri!

Oprah Removes Alleged Domestic Abuser Winans From Show

wenn26385572.jpg

If Chris Brown was bothered by Oprah Winfrey not lending him a helping hand after his “incident” with Rihanna, he must really be hating her now.

Oprah has stated that she’s against domestic violence and therefore did not offer Chris the opportunity to go on her show and try to clean up his image.

But she did allow gospel singer BeBe Winans on her show, despite his domestic violence issues. Burn!

Winans was arrested in March of this year on charges of domestic assault after he allegedly pushed his ex-wife to the ground while arguing about child custody issues. He’s due back in court early January on those charges.

Though it seems that didn’t bother Winfrey much as she had BeBe appear on her show last Friday as a judge for a karaoke challenge skit.

However, that decision has left many people calling her, what else, but a hypocrite!

And Oprah was set to have him return on her show to promote his new reunion project with his sister CeCe Winans, however, it seems all the negative backlash has started to get to Oprah as she’s now banned Winans from her show. That is until the charges against him are resolved.

Inneresting.

Hey Chris, have any thoughts on this? Oh wait, Oprah doesn’t care what you have to say!

Will Oprah Take Her Show To Cable?

wenn2638557oprah.jpg

It could be a risky move!

Oprah’s contract for The Oprah Winfrey Show is up in 2011 and many are wondering whether she’ll extend the show in syndication or move it to her highly-anticipated Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on cable?

OWN is a joint venture between Oprah and Discovery Communications and supposedly the chief of Discovery Communications David Zaslav is demanding that Oprah make the move to the new network or lost the deal altogether!

Rumor has it that they will issue a press release in a few days announcing OWN’s launch for 2011 and in subsequent weeks O will make the announcement that she’s moving the show from Chicago to OWN’s LA headquarters beginning in Fall 2011.

We’re not sure this is a good idea!

There’s a possibility OWN could distribute the show for syndication, but otherwise we have a feeling she’ll be seen by a smaller audience if she’s only on cable. Her ratings have already fallen by half over the past ten years!

Is Oprah losing steam?

It doesn’t really matter in the long-run though, The Big O is worth $2.3 billion!!!

It’s White Oprah’s Turn At The (Hidden) Mic

The Lohan family’s “Best of the Worst Moments Special” continues thanks to Michael Lohan. Yesterday, Radar posted a taped phone conversation between Michael and LiLo. LiLo addressed the recording on her Twitter by saying that it was recorded years ago and accused her father of editing it for high drama.

LiLo also really ZING-ed it to daddy when she wrote, “I used to think. That he needed the book for dummies on learning how to be a father. Haha-he’s needs the book for dummies on HOW TO BE A MAN.” Don’t HA HA at Lilo. Such a thing exists. It’s called “Khloe Kardashian’s Official Website.

In addition to all that, LiLo is also looking into filing criminal charges against her father. Well, White Oprah might want to co-sign LiLo’s upcoming lawsuit, because she’s the star of a new tape Radar has just released.

In the 30-second long clip from last year, White Oprah tells Michael that she has already tried to get their daughter into rehab. White Oprah says, “She’s really sad and really hurt and really…despondent. I told her not to go to L.A. at 18…she did. I couldn’t leave these other three kids to go get her and it was, like, a mess. You don’t even know what I’d go through trying to get her into, like, rehab and stuff. She’d like, punch me in the face, kick me out of the car…like you don’t know the shit I went through trying to get her an intervention by myself. It was very difficult.

You’re not the only one who just smiled like a farting toddler when you read about White Oprah getting punched out by LiLo. I’m sure Michael will pull a tape of that incident out of his asshole and release it on Pay-Per-View very very soon.

But don’t wave a hot knife at Michael Lohan for releasing tapes of his family’s private phone conversation. Michael said that he really has no choice. It’s the only way to clear HIS good name, “I admit, I’m being a bit selfish in releasing the tapes. But I’m tired of being lied about. I’m tired of Dina and others making me out to be someone I’m not, so now I’m going to prove to the world who the real liars are.”

Silly me. Here I was thinking (not really) that Michael releasing the tapes was his strange way of trying to help his daughter. When all along it’s been The Michael Lohan Show with special guest Linday Lohan.
