Brooke Mueller Back In Rehab Over Alleged Crack Cocaine Addiction

Mother-of-two Brooke Mueller – who has 11-month-old twin sons Max and Bob with husband Charlie Sheen – was reportedly admitted to The Canyon rehabilitation centre last Tuesday (09.02.10) for substance abuse after an “out of control” night of partying with her husband.   A source told gossip website Radar Online: “Brooke has been in denial about her problem for a long time.  “She’s smoking crack and she’s drinking heavily. Everyone around her wanted her to get help.   Her mother has been attempting to convince her to go into rehab for a while now.”

Brooke’s return to rehab came just one day after Charlie’s arraignment hearing on felony and misdemeanor charges relating to his alleged assault on her on Christmas Day (25.12.09). However, shortly after the Aspen court visit – which saw terms of a restraining order against Charlie relaxed – the pair apparently partied together in Los Angeles before Brooke was urged to seek help for her problems.

Another source added: “She went on an all-nighter. She was just out of control. They partied that night. She didn’t stop. “It was just more of the same with Brooke. Her mother had been begging her to go into rehab. “It got to the point where even Charlie told her to go to rehab because of their kids. She had one final party, drinking pretty heavily, and Charlie was with her part of the time. But when he left it didn’t stop. The next day she was in bad, bad shape and that’s when she went into rehab.”

This is the second time Brooke has visited a rehabilitation centre in recent weeks.  Last month she stayed at the Two Dreams Outer Banks treatment centre in North Carolina over alleged substance abuse problems, following a stay in hospital for pneumonia.  Photo: Fame Picture

Avril Lavigne Dating Brody Jenner?

The ‘Sk8er Boi’ singer – who filed for divorce from rocker husband Deryck Whibley last October, a month after they separated – has been enjoying a low-key romance with the 26-year-old reality TV star for several weeks.   A source said: "They’re hooking up but they’re keeping it low-key." 

Despite trying to keep their romance out of the public eye, the couple recently enjoyed a dinner at Los Angeles restaurant Koi before heading to nearby nightspot Voyeur, where they amazed onlookers with their flirty behaviour.   Another source told E! Online: "You can tell they’re into each other and both like to have a good time. They’re cute together."

Since splitting from Deryck – who she was married to for three years – Avril, 25, has been romantically linked with actor Wilmer Valderrama and oil heir Brandon Davis, but pals insisted she was just friends with both men.  Brody was most recently dating Playboy playmate Jayde Nicole, but they split in December.  After revealing she and Deryck were to divorce, Avril insisted the pair would remain friends.

She said: "Deryck and I have been together for six-and-a-half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship.  "I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. Alexis Bledel: Gilmore Girls Movie?

Alexis Bledel mesmerizes with her piercing blue eyes at a press junket for her new film, The Good Guy at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles on Thursday (February 11).

At the junket, the 28-year-old actress was asked if she would star in a Gilmore Girls movie. “I don’t know what story is left to tell,” Alexis told E!’s Marc Malkin. “But I’d very curious to read a script.”

As for her character Rory being a mother by now, Alexis shared, “Oh my god—a baby bump! Could you imagine? I actually always thought they were going to do that in the series. Since Lorelai got pregnant early, I thought my character was supposed to get pregnant early because she had all these boyfriends. Rory always had boyfriends.”

Dennis Hopper’s divorce battle getting nastier

Civil war is raging at the house of cancer-stricken actor Dennis Hopper, who is seeking a divorce from his fifth wife so that he can spend more time with their 6-year-old daughter in what could be his dying days.

Hopper, 73, who is undergoing chemotherapy for advanced, metastasized prostate cancer, filed declarations along with his children, doctors and assistant in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday to support his divorce petition.

The director and co-star of “Easy Rider” filed for divorce from Victoria Duffy, 42, on January 14, and said in a subsequent statement that he wanted to spend “these difficult days surrounded by my children and close friends.”

The divorce battle is largely a tug-of-war over the couple’s daughter, Galen. A Los Angeles judge on Thursday awarded Hopper daily visitation rights to Galen after the actor claimed Duffy had taken her away from him for extended periods.

The judge also issued a restraining order against Duffy, saying she must stay 10 feet away from Hopper and his adult children, and barred her from entering Hopper’s main residence.

The latest batch of court documents details a lot of screaming and shouting among the inhabitants of the counter-culture icon’s five-home compound in the coastal Los Angeles suburb of Venice, with Duffy cast as the villain.

She is variously described as “extremely volatile” “insane and out of her mind,” and “inhuman.” Her husband of 13 years, meanwhile, has shrunk to 120 pounds and vomits after taking his medication, according to the papers.

“Victoria has made my father’s life a living hell over at least the last six months,” said a deposition from Henry Hopper, the actor’s 19-year-old son with his fourth wife.

The teen, also an actor, was accused by Duffy last year of stealing some of his father’s priceless artworks. She changed the locks at the compound to keep him out. They were later found in a basement where they had long been in storage, the documents said.

For his part, Dennis Hopper said he spent Christmas “in utter distress” after Duffy spirited their daughter Galen to Boston. “This malevolent act … has caused me to miss what may very well be my last Christmas with my daughter Galen,” Hopper said in his filing.

The declarations come on the heels of Duffy’s own responsive declaration in which she depicted her husband as an abusive, gun-toting pot-smoker. She also claimed that he did not want a divorce but was being pressured by his three adult children. particularly his eldest daughter, Marin, 47.

Hopper, according to Duffy, was “more often than not incapable of handling his legal and financial affairs.”

Not true, countered Hopper, with supporting documents from two doctors who determined that he was fully competent. He said he filed for divorce “clearly and deliberately, without any pressure or influence exerted upon me by any other person.”

Moreover, said his personal physician David Agus, “It is my belief and recommendation that the less Mr. Hopper has to do with his estranged wife at this time, the more likely he is to have his life extended.”

Hopper’s domestic life has never been dull. One of his marriages included an eight-day union with Michelle Phillips of The Mamas and the Papas in 1970. Phillips later told Vanity Fair that she was subjected to “excruciating” treatment.
