Farrah Fawcett’s Friends Were “Shut out” & Banned From Seeing Her Before She Died

The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ actress – who lost her battle with cancer last June – was “controlled” by her long term partner Ryan O’Neal and friend Alana Hamilton Stewart, one of her closest pals has claimed.   Kate Jackson – a friend of the actress for over 40 years – said: “I was shut out. I was prevented from saying goodbye to one of my best friends.”   Recalling the day she learned she had been banned from seeing the star, she added: "I was walking across the lobby at her apartment, and as I got toward the elevator, the security guard yelled out ‘Ms. Jackson, no-one upstairs.’   “I turned around, looked at the guard and said, ‘What?’ I was stunned. I walked over to him. I was really incredulous because this particular guard and had seen me from the beginning. I asked him why and he said he didn’t know, but it had come from upstairs.   “From that moment on, we weren’t able to see or talk to Farrah again. It was very upsetting."

Kate later confronted Alana, who insisted she was acting on Farrah’s wishes as the actress – who made a documentary about her cancer battle, Farrah’s Story’, which aired in the US weeks before her death – didn’t want to be seen looking so ill.   Kate added to Radar Online: “Alana told me that was what Farrah wanted, because she didn’t want anyone to see her like that. That, to me, didn’t make much sense because the whole world was about to see her like that in ‘Farrah’s Story’. It didn’t sound right.” 

Kate agreed to comply with the request, but admits she regrets not defying the order.  She added: “On the miniscule possibility that what Alana said was true, I did not wish to do something against Farrah’s wishes and just burst in. On the chance it was Farrah’s wishes, we all didn’t want to upset her. Alexander Skarsgard Interview — JustJared.com Exclusive

Alexander Skarsgard joins co-stars Sam Trammell, Michelle Forbes and Rutina Wesley at the premiere of their HBO vampire series True Blood at Max Linder Cinema on Thursday (November 5) in Paris, France.

The 33-year-old actor was just in Sweden to re-shoot scenes for his new movie, Puss. Two weeks ago at an event in New York City, Alexander spoke to JustJared.com exclusively. Check it:

JJ: Tell us about your character in Straw Dogs.

AS: I play a guy named Charlie who’s a guy from Mississippi who was a big star when he was younger — the quarterback of the football team. He was dating Kate Bosworth’s character, who was the cheerleader — the hottest girl in school — and everything was perfect. He had the best life and people were, like, “You’re going to play in the NFL someday!” And then he got injured and nothing really happened for him.

The movie starts later [in Charlie's life] and he’s in his late twenties — he’s gotten bitter in a way. And [Kate's character] comes back with her new boyfriend (James Marsden), who’s a Hollywood screenwriter. The movie’s about the dynamic between the three of them when they come back, how Charlie reacts to that. He wants her back…

JJ: What was it like working with Kate?

AS: I love Kate. She’s amazing – she’s going to be amazing in this movie. It’s a really tough part, but she did a great job – she’s a very good friend of mine.

JJ: What was your favorite part about working on the movie?

AS: Working with those people – Jimmy Marsden, who plays the screenwriter, is a fantastic guy and Rhys Coiro and Drew Powell and Billy Lush, I’d worked with on Generation Kill. They played my buddies. And the entire crew – it was just an amazing experience, and Rod Lurie, the director, is a fantastic director.

JJ: I saw pictures of you and the cast going to a Britney Spears concert!

AS: Yeah! (laughs)

JJ: Are you a Britney fan?

AS: No! They gave us tickets and it was a Saturday night. There’s not a whole lot going on in Shreveport (Louisiana). So if something happens, we’re all, like, “Yeah, let’s do it!” We went to a bunch of different concerts and whatever was in town, we went to see, basically.

JJ: Did you get to see Sienna Miller’s After Miss Julie?

AS: I came in too late! I flew in from L.A. the same day, so I didn’t make it. But I’m from Sweden and it’s written by August Strindberg, who’s an author from Sweden, so I’d love to see it.

JJ: Have you ever seen any musicals or Broadway shows while you’ve been here in NYC?

AS: I’m actually not a huge musical fan. I prefer plays in general. I’ve seen Hair – I love that ’cause I love the music in that one.

JJ: Would you ever try your hand at Broadway?

AS: I want to do more plays, definitely. That’s what I did when I was in Sweden – I did a lot of stage work. So I like to go back and forth between movies, television and stage. I think that keeps me motivated as an actor and keeps me on my toes, so I definitely want to do more theater. I did plays like Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? only they were in Swedish ’cause I was in Stockholm.

JJ: When do you return to the set of True Blood?

AS: I go back to Sweden now to finish this Swedish movie and then in November, I fly back to L.A. and we start preppin’ and then early December, we start True Blood again.

JJ: Do you celebrate Halloween?

AS: I’ll be in Sweden working on Halloween, so that’s probably good because otherwise, people are going to expect me to dress up as Eric and I’d rather flee the country! (laughs)

JJ: Are you over the vampire craze yet?

AS: No, I love it. I can’t say that I’m up-to-date on the other shows – I know there are plenty of shows out there, but I’m having a great time on our show and I’m very excited to go back to working with the crew and the cast again. They’re kind of my family now, so I definitely miss them. I’m excited to start again and it’s going to be a fun season.

JJ: Evan Rachel Wood is here [at this event too]. What was it like working with her?

AS: Evan is amazing. She’s the sweetest girl and a fantastic actress. It’s fun – it’s going to be a great season.

JJ: You work with all great actors!

AS: I know! I’m blessed.

Jon To Spend Thanksgiving With Hailey the Ho?!

Kate Gosselin has something to be thankful for this morning – her stoopid ex won’t be in attendance to her Thanksgiving dinner!

Last night, Jon Gosselin and his girlfriend Homewrecking Hailey Glassman, appeared on Entertainment Tonight to address the rumors and recent tension between them. They return to talk to Mary Hart again tonight and we hear it’s staged explosive!

The jaw-dropping moment comes after the couple start to bicker over their plans for Thanksgiving and reveals that Kate will be spending the holiday with the kids and her bodyguard, Steve Nelid’s, family. When asked about their plans, Hailey explains that even though they are having some problems, he is still coming to spend the holiday with her family.

Then things get interesting idiotic.

After Hailey says that he is still invited to spend the holiday with her family, Jon replies with a raised brow: “I still planned on going to her house on Thanksgiving; that was on my schedule.”

That’s when Hailey starts to lose it, insulted that her polite invitation is being treated like a doctor’s appointment. She starts to yell at him: “On your schedule? What do you mean, ‘On my schedule?’ Let’s see, Kate has the kids, and she’s having a nice huge meal with Steve and his family. Uh, let’s see, should I go to Hailey’s or should I sit in my apartment all alone?”

Having flashbacks of his previous relationship, Jon quickly retreats and tries to defend himself, but it’s no good – Hailey is PISSED! Jon says: “Sorry, I used the wrong term. I plan on going — I made a promise to her family I would go to her house.”

To which Hailey replies: “Made a promise? You’re not doing my family any favors!”

He’d be doing you a bigger favor by just staying away, we think. In fact, if he could find a hole and stay in it for about a year, he’d be doing the WORLD a HUGE favor.

Sometime after this little spat, Jon finally has enough and does the one thing he never did while on his TLC show with Kate – he walks out of the interview!

How…fake!

Are any of you buying all of this? Even as we are typing we can see these two morons plotting out their “act” for America! It’s all fake. It’s all stage for attention.

How sad the both of you are!

Rihanna Fans Speak Out About Her ‘Good Morning America’ Appearance

NEW YORK — After months of silence, Rihanna spoke out about Chris Brown’s assault on her earlier this year in an interview that aired Thursday (November 5) on “Good Morning America.” and will continue on “20/20″ Friday night. In it, a visibly emotional Rihanna explains to Diane Sawyer her thoughts and feelings about the assault, saying that she is “embarrassed” to have loved someone like Chris Brown.

MTV News went into Times Square to get fans’ reactions to Rihanna’s appearance. Most Rihanna fans supported her and even thought that the statements were empowering.

Rashada, 22, said, “I’m glad that she finally took the time to address it.  It was really heartfelt and I’m glad that she said what she needed to get across, because sometimes when you’re that far in love those things happen and you can’t get out of it.”

Johanna, 21, agreed. “I think she’s proved that she’s a strong, independent woman by handling this very maturely, even though she’s very young.”

Alexis, 18, had some sympathy for Brown. “I truly feel that what happened with them was an honest mistake,” she said.

Others questioned Rihanna’s motives for choosing this time to speak out. DeAndrea, 26, was skeptical. “I think it’s [Rihanna's] way of creating her own kind of controversy. Like, why would you let it go on for this long and then want to say something … And even when [he talked about the assault in interviews], he never really disrespected her by telling the details of what happened.”

Even more skeptical was Nancy, 25. “Her new album is coming out and she needs a little publicity, so she wants to go around and talk about it. I think everyone’s over it,” she said.

Others said they think people can benefit from Rihanna’s comments. Joe, 25, said, “Personally I’m glad that she’s speaking out because lots of girls her age — and girls younger than her — go through experiences like this.”

Kate, 18, said, “We have to look inside our own lives and learn from what we see on TV, and not only pay attention to that but pay attention to our own lives. We have to use to it enhance ourselves and our relationships with the people around us.”

Jon Gosselin: Fame Canceled Out Conviction

“I think I’m just misunderstood. I’m not a fame seeker. Everyday I look in the mirror and I wonder [why I'm famous]. I don’t sing. I don’t dance. I’m not a Nobel Peace Prizewinner. I just had eight kids and I had a show on TLC,” Jon said at the event, according to People. “Half the stuff I’ve done, if I look at my moral compass, I shouldn’t have done,” explained Jon. “I know that but I did it anyway. It’s like fame canceled out conviction.”

“It’s hard for me because I can’t forgive myself for the things I’ve done,” Jon said. “So to ask for forgiveness from someone who may never forgive me is tough for me. I do apologize to Kate. I’m sorry for doing the things I did. I do ask for her forgiveness.”
