Kevin Williamson Screams Details Of Next Film

By now, most of you have heard that the Scream franchise is rising from the ashes, with original castmembers Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell, and David Arquette attached to finish the job they started.

What you didn’t know, and what we have just learned ourselves, is that this comeback is to usher in a brand new TRILOGY of Scream movies, with some brand new faces added to the mix.

Kevin Williamson, writer of the original and upcoming Scream flicks, provided some more details as to what audiences will see in the next installments:

“It’ll take place right now, 10 years later, and it’s going to take place in [Sidney Prescott's hometown of] Woodsboro. We’ll have our three main characters, and we’ll be introducing several more…We’ll also be introducing a little group, a little ensemble of new castmembers. That’ll take us through the next three.”

Scream 4, which is being coincidingly written with Scream 5, will be somewhat spoof-heavy, as it seems clear that being “self-referential” is no longer plausible.

Kevin explains:

“I guess I’ll just have to be very aware of the fact that we’re a ‘4′ and that we’re beating a dead dog. I’m going to make that very apparent in the dialogue… Come on. It’s the age of the remake! And 3-D and all that [other horror fad material], can you imagine what ['Scream' movie-within-a-movie] ‘Stab 10′ is like?”

It maybe like beating a dead dog, but we know tons of people who will lining up to see it anyway.

Emmy Rossum: Adam Duritz is a Catch

Emmy Rossum is opening up about her 45-year-old rumored boyfriend, Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz.

The 23-year-old actress tells People at the grand opening of of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C., “I get why chicks dig him. He’s extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful.” (He has dated former Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox.)

As for her dating status, Emmy would only reveal, “I don’t discuss my love life because it’s always misinterpreted or put under the microscope. It’s especially annoying when you’re dating someone else who’s well-known, which is why I normally would never go out with a famous guy… Let’s put it this way. I’d be flattered if someone hit on me tonight, but I really can’t say if I’m available or not.”

Last month, Emmy filed for divorce from her husband, music exec Justin Siegel.

Neve Campbell To Join Scream 4?

Despite saying that she wouldn’t be involved in the fourth Scream flick, it looks as though Neve Campbell is having second thoughts!
According to Variety, the actress, best known for her part as Sidney Prescott in the horror films, has just signed on for Scream 4. The movie is set to begin production in April or May, with Wes Craven expected to direct.
As you may recall, on and off-screen couple David Arquette and Courteney Cox signed on for the fourth flick back in July.

VIDEO: Lisa Kudrow Does ‘Smelly Cat’

Lisa Kudrow took the stage at the Rock a Little Feed a Lot benefit concert on Tuesday night.
And, yes, she finally reenacted her signature song from Friends!
As Kudrow appeared on stage with Courteney Cox to introduce singer Sheryl Crow, an excited fan yelled out, “Play ‘Smelly Cat!’” And with that request, Cox went to get Lisa a guitar!
