James McAvoy Macs On Sean Penn’s Ex

Maybe. At least they’ll be playing opposite each other in a movie so it is a distinct possibility.

James McAvoy and Robin Wright Penn are set to star in Robert Redford’s newest film The Conspirator, a period drama flick based on true events following the assassination of President Abe Lincoln.

James plays Frederick Aiken, a young war hero who defends the only woman charged in the conspiring to kill the president, Mary Surratt, played by Robin.

We think someone is fishing for an Oscar. Sounds like the kind of movie that will get him one.
